TJK NETWORK and our newest branch for this season WMPQPL Report would like to thank the WMPQPL hockey team for welcoming us to come back to continue covering their games. It is a shame that we were unable to broadcast games inside the Ice Vault due to the video rights with their pay to watch service, but we were able to produce many full recordings of the games to rewatch on YouTube. We also want to thank the fans for supporting the team and choosing TJK NETWORK to stay updated on the games, and also getting us to our big goal of 1,000 subscribers in the broadcast we did in the first round of the state sectional playoffs. We most likely will be covering the 2025-2026 season.

On March 6, 2025 WMPQPL was defeated by the KJS United with a final score of 8-3. The KJS United will win the sectional championship and move on to the state championship game against the south sectional champion and will go up from 13-8-2 to 14-8-2 and WMPQPL’s season will end and they will fall down from 14-12-1 to 14-13-1.

On March 6, 2025 WMPQPL was defeated by the KJS United with a final score of 8-3. The KJS United will win the sectional championship and move on to the state championship game against the south sectional champion and will go up from 13-8-2 to 14-8-2 and WMPQPL’s season will end and they will fall down from 14-12-1 to 14-13-1.

The game will be available on the TJK NETWORK RADIO station with a live scores stream on TJK NETWORK EXTRA and we will be recording the game to post at a later date due to the NJSIAA having the primary video rights. This game will also be the final round of the 2025 NJSIAA State Sectional Playoffs.

On March 3, 2025 WMPQPL defeats Lakeland with a final score of 2-1. WMPQPL will move on to the final round and will go up from 13-12-1 to 14-12-1 and Lakeland will be eliminated from the playoffs as their season will end and they will fall down from 11-15-1 to 11-16-1. The offense got the job done with Timmy Riche getting the 2 goals, but most importantly the defense was elite. WMPQPL sat more back to start off the game and same for Lakeland as both these teams in the previous games have been uncontrolled high scoring games with many defensive breakdowns and mistakes. This game, both teams were playing more conservatively to avoid mistakes. With WMPQPL getting a 2-0 lead in the game, the team sat back. The defense the whole game didn’t pinch in the offensive zone and the forwards back-checked and created a neutral zone trap which frustrated. The goaltending was also elite with Matt Montena stopping 28 out of 29 shots good for a .966 SV%. Overall, an amazing game from every aspect for WMPQPL playing a 5th game against Lakeland. WMPQPL will play the 8 seed KJS United in the sectional final at Mennon Arena on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 7PM ET. KJS will be a tough team to play against as early in the season WMPQPL lost to them 7-0, but the team that we have been seeing throughout this stretch has been playing with passion as their win streak continues on at 8 games and continues to ride hot going into the sectional final.
